New Aberystwyth -Svalbard connections

Breaking the year-long blog silence, I love how the Svalbard and Aberystwyth 'bubbles' collide so often.

At the moment Greenpeace's Arctic Sunrise is on her way to the coasts of Svalbard and her Captain started his journey from Aberystwyth, where he is based when not at sea. In fact, I have the pleasure of singing next to Captain Mike most weeks!

This is so exciting it made the local newspaper. Sadly, they chopped the bit out I wrote for the article (shame, my own experience tells me most people aren't too sure where Svalbard is) - but you can read that right here, right now! And my lovely reporter friend and colleague, Kelvin Mason also shared it on his site too...
